If it wasn't for downloadable content most of the top games of the past few years would have been all but forgotten, but thanks to some great support for a few favourites like Fallout 3, GTA and Gears of War they are all constantly fighting for position in the old grey box. This time it is the turn of Fable 2 to receive some new content, but is it worth shelling out 560 points and dusting down your copy of the game for?
Fable 2 See the Future is a series of small quests added onto the main game. Murgo the trader arrives back in Bowerstone Market with a few new interesting trinkets, however he is so unaware of their powers he literally gives them away, are you brave enough to discover their mysteries?
See the Future is split into 3 quests and once started the classic golden trail will again lead you on your way. The first item is a snowglobe that you venture into, inside the globe is a small town that has been washed of all colour. Your quest is to bring colour back by defeating colour coded enemies who are weak to a specific forms of attack, melée, magic or ranged.
![]() The remaining quests are an interesting mixture, the second quest requires you to run around a graveyard dressing up as different people to gather ghosts and the final quest is a little bit of a disappointment as very little is required from you.
Fans of the Fable 2 game are really going to enjoy this add-on as not only do you have a few new mini quests but also new coliseum thrown in which appears on completion of the new quests. For those thinking it will be the same as the main game fear not as the challenge has been increased quite a bit, so do make sure you are fully equipped with potions and a healthy selection of weapons before signing up.
With each quest and coliseum fight you will earn new items including, costumes, weapons and the ability to change the breed of your dog. The new 250 achievement points on offer are a classic mix of quest based rewards and strange requirements that Fable 2 is so good at.
Of course just like the Knothole Island DLC you can download a patch to enable you to play in a co-op quest with friends but getting the full game is really recommended to make the most of it.
