During their CES 2010 keynote speech, Steve Ballmer and Robbie Bach announced that 2009 was a great year for Xbox and 2010 will be the biggest year ever in Xbox history.
Stats revealed for 2009 include that over 10 million consoles have now been sold and that during the Christmas period there was a new member registered every second to Xbox LIVE. Perhaps the most impressive stat though is that during the busiest time 2.2 million people were all using Xbox LIVE at the same time.
With 2009 now behind them Microsoft are confident that 2010 will be even bigger thanks to Project Natal which will be released in November and also their exclusive line up of game which include Splinter Cell Conviction, Crackdown 2, Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, Halo Reach and Fable 3.
Microsoft also announced the new Games Room during CES, which you can read about here in our CES round up.
