The Carphone Warehouse has today told industry website MCV that existing European retail outlets are failing their customers and they plan to put things right by teaming up with American Giant Best Buy.
The Carphone Warehouse announced earlier last month that it had invested $1.1 billion in order to take 50 per cent of Best Buy’s US and European business interests, this means that Best Buy stores will start to appear in the UK from 2009.
“Both Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy think that European customers currently get a pretty bad deal, with poor service and pricing,” a company spokesperson told MCV.
“We already have a trusted brand and Best Buy are the biggest electronics retailer in the world.”
