Hours before Microsoft were to have their E3 2008 Conference the online gaming forums had no clue what Microsoft were going to announce but probably thought that it would be nothing significant.

However, during their speech yesterday Microsoft announced a few things which people thought, would never happen.

The Xbox 360 Dashboard has completely been redesigned, with lots of new features like:

. New Dashboard style (similar to the Windows media center guide)

. Primetime (Games for your avatar characters, were you can win prizes and will likely be free)

 . Party mode (Up to 8 friends in a party, Group chat, View films/photos from other people’s console)

. Netflix free DVD streaming (free DVD streaming for gold members)

.Avatars (3D person to represent yourself and can be used in some games)

. Faster run times (the option to install games onto the 360 for faster run times)

That is a massive list and doesn’t even include the games such as Fable 2, Gears of War 2 and more. With all of this all this coming soon I think everybody should be pleased whether you’re a hardcore gamer or a casual gamer, it will be good! It’s like an early Christmas.
