During their E3 press conference Guitar Hero Director Brian Bright told the audience that anyone who has instruments from previous games such as Guitar Hero or even Rock band would be able to use them with Guitar Hero: World Tour.

It was also revealed that if a Rock Band drumset is connected then the game will detect it and the 5 button track will be compressed down to four. 

Sounds good for those who don’t have a lot of room to maneuver in their homes.
