Southpeak reveal GC Line up
Posted by wotta, 150 days ago Aug 15, 2008 13:25

Today SouthPeak Games announce the games they will be showing at the Leipzig Games Convention (20-24 August, 2008). A wide range of games will be both demonstrated and available for hands-on, across a range of platforms and genres. All the games showing will be releasing in 2008 or early 2009. The games line-up at GC2008 will be as follows:

Raven Squad: Operation Hidden Dagger - A tactical action game set in the Amazonian jungles that blends a first person shooter (FPS) experience with the command and overview advantages of a tactical real-time strategy (RTS) with dominantly story driven objectives. The player can solve each tactical situation using his own combination of the two genres either by himself or cooperatively with a friend.

X-Blades – Classic hack-n-slash action as Ayumi, a beautiful adventurous relic hunter, searches out an artefact believed to hold the fate of the world in its grasp. Relying only on her fighting skill, pistol blades, and magical abilities, Ayumi must endure countless battles against creatures and other fortune-seekers determined to prevent her from escaping with the relic alive.

Brave: Shaman’s Challenge – A puzzle adventure title that features a cast of intriguing characters, a richly developed game world, and more challenges than you can shake a shaman’s stick at! Taking place in Native American lands, the game follows a young boy named Brave in his quest to protect everything he holds dear. As Brave progresses through his journey he encounters friends and mentors from the past, as well as a slew of new faces. He must master Shamanic Arts to gain new powers, and explore dangerous territories in order to fight off the evils that are rising up against him and his people.

Ninjatown – Action-strategy at its finest. A diverse group of fun-loving Ninjas populate the vibrant yet peaceful place known as Ninjatown. However, after the eruption of a nearby volcano, Ninjatown is attacked by hordes of sinister enemies lead by Mr. Demon, who, for reasons unknown, is bent on destruction. It is now time to use each of the Ninjas’ unique skills and powers – including the Mighty Wind of Ninja Dropping and Stealth Hugs – to fight off the evil and secure Ninjatown, one district at a time. The game is played from the top down, where the player uses the stylus to strategically place Ninjas to defend each area. The action is non-stop!

Big Bang Mini - A fast paced shoot’ em up that puts a new spin on classic arcade style gameplay, all wrapped around a fireworks theme. Your objective is to navigate your ‘ship’ through a brilliant array of lights, dodging intense streams of firework debris as it rains down on you. Defeat waves of challenging enemies by deploying fireworks and performing combo attacks. Get ready for Guy Fawkes night!

Two Worlds: The Temptation – Taking place shortly after the events portrayed in the first Two Worlds, The Temptation takes place in Eastern Antaloor, in the regions surrounding Oswaroh and the Drak’ar Desert. Featuring as much content as the original, Two Worlds: The Temptation will feature more intricate missions, improved voice-overs and animations, retooled horseback riding, completely revamped combat, and a new game engine that delivers visuals that have to be seen to be believed.
