Four Games hit the Wii this week, spread between Virtual Console and WiiWare.

Rather than ramble on about them we have place the official press release below which tells you everything you need to know, however if you just want to know what the games are then:

WiiWare

MaBoShi: The Three Shape Arcade

Critter Round-Up

Virtual Console

BIio Miracle Bokutte Upa

Dig Dug!

Official Press Release (Nintendo)

MaBoShi: The Three Shape Arcade hits WiiWare this week, the game is a unique arcade action title features three games in one, based on three classic shapes: circle, bar and square, there are three game windows on screen at the same time, allowing for three people to play different games simultaneously. But there is a twist – each game impacts the other players!

For every player, the goal is the same score a million points  but the challenge is different, whether you’re bashing enemies in Circle Mode, weaving your way through Bar Mode, or burning through a maze of obstacles in Square Mode.

MaBoShi: The Three Shape Arcade also features Mii characters, action replays that you can send to friends via WiiConnect24, and even a Nintendo DS download version for playing on the go! MaBoShi: The Three Shape Arcade can be yours for just 800 Wii Points.

Also hitting Wii this week is Critter Round-Up. The critters have escaped and the barnyard is in chaos! It’s up to you to quickly catch the animals in this puzzle action challenge!  You’ll have to mend fences in a hurry to keep all the critters safe and satisfied!  But the fun doesn’t stop with the farmland; more than 50 challenging levels take you to several exotic locations, including the Outback, the icy Arctic and more!

There’s even a series of mini-games for when the critters get you down: Snowball Soccer, Predator Rampage, Chicken Catch, and Fence Trap. Up to four players can compete or cooperate as the critters run wild.  Critter Round-Up is available for 1000 Wii Points.

The first title on Virtual Console this week is BIO MIRACLE BOKUTTE UPA.  Originally released in 1988 by Konami on the Famicom Disk System, this cute and quirky Japanese platform game stars an unlikely hero: a baby named Upa who can defeat enemies by inflating them with his magic rattle, and can bounce or ride on their balloon-like bodies!

Set in a magical kingdom, Upa is the prince and the most recent in a line of brave fighters. By accident, Upa smashes an urn that releases the spirit of Zai, an evil goat-like demon who proceeds to absorb the life force of the kingdom’s adults and kidnap every baby! Thankfully, the urn was also home to a fairy who gives Upa a magical rattle to defteat Zai! For 600 Wii Points you can crawl with Upa and win back his kingdom!

Last but not least this week is one of the most popular arcade titles of all time, DIG DUG! This original Famicom (NES) version was unavailable outside of Japan, until now, making this tunnel digging classic a real monster bashing gem for all Virtual Console fans!

The objective is simple: eliminate all underground-dwelling monsters by either inflating them until they pop or by dropping rocks on them! Faced with two kinds of enemy, Pookas - red round monsters with yellow goggles, and Fygars – green dragons who breathe deadly fire, Dig Dug must strategically dig tunnels to thwart his foes and use his air harpoon and surrounding rocks to clear each stage.

With bonus points disguised as vegetables and the opportunity to receive high points for luring multiple enemies and crushing them with a single rock, DIG DUG is an intense and tactical game for fans everywhere! Available now for 600 Wii Points.
