EA has told Eurogamer that Dead Space downloadable content released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the horror title will not go live in Europe until 23rd October, the day before the game’s European release.
Earlier Major Nelson’s said that two new suits for protagonist Isaac Clarke had filtered onto Xbox Live.
The first of these, the Elite Suit, is a free level-five suit add-on featuring 360 colours, "upgraded toughness" and extra inventory slots. This is exclusive to 360, and Nelson’s post about it says it’s "free for a limited time only".
Second is the Scorpion Suit, which is another level-five outfit with enhanced armour and fully unlocked slots, except this on is "in an awesome red". This costs 200 Microsoft Points, too, which is £1.70 .
EA has told Eurogamer that PS3 will also get some suit content, and that this and the 360 stuff mentioned above will be available to European gamers next Thursday. It will then be offered for two weeks, according to the publisher.
