Zavvi have today contacted customers to advise them that the release date for Little Big Planet has slipped to 14th November.

The following email was sent to account holders advising of the change,

Dear Mr **** ****

The release date of a product you have ordered has changed.

Product Little Big Planet in order ******** will now be released on Fri Nov 14 00:00:00 GMT 2008

Kind Regards, zavvi.co.uk customer services team

We are a little sceptical of this date change, however official clarification is expected soon, so keep an eye on this story for an update.

Clever us and our scepticism, Zavvi have just sent this retraction to customers, panic over now.

Hello from zavvi,

We are emailing because you recently placed an order for LittleBigPlanet. You may have received an email informing you that the release date had changed to 4th November, unfortunately this was sent in error following an incorrect date feed.

We can confirm that LittleBigPlanet is still scheduled for release on 24th October. We would like to offer our apologies for any confusion or frustration caused.

*Update 2*

We have just seen this thread on the Official PS Forums, and combined with the fact that credible industry sites such as Gamesindustry.biz are posting regarding a delay and GAME also sending out release date changes, all of a sudden a delay does seem likely.

We will wait for official confirmation before posting any other news regarding this as otherwise there will be a lot of updates with a lot of speculation.
